La vie de Mick Foley en film

The Hardcore Legend a donc annoncé qu'il travaillerait en collaboration avec Union Square Media pour faire un "film majeur" basé sur l'histoire de la vie de Foley.
Un projet que Mick Foley envisageait depuis longtemps mais qui n'a jamais pu se concrétiser. Il y a quelques années, il avait écrit un scénario basé sur son premier livre biographique "Have a Nice Day" - A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks" mais le projet n'avait jamais vu le jour.
Ce film retraçant l'histoire de la vie de Foley sera construit depuis un scénario co-écrit par Foley et Christopher J.Scott, qui sera le réalisateur du site. Scott a par ailleurs dirigé et produit plusieurs projets variés. Le producteur du film sera Jeff Katz, qui a récemment produit "Wolverine" et possède beaucoup de liens avec l'univers de la lutte de par son temps passé à travailler pour la WCW originale.
Pour rappel, l'un des autres projets de Mick Foley, à savoir son 4e livre biographique intitulé "Countdown to Lockdown" sera mis en vente le 1e Octobre.

Union Square and American Original to Produce Feature Film Based on the Life Story of Professional Wrestler Mick Foley

NEW YORK, Sept. 27 /-- Union Square Agency (USSE Corp., Pink OTC Symbol: UCRP) will showcase the life story of one of the most hardcore wrestlers of all time, Mick Foley.

Union Square's Media division will produce the film with American Original founder Jeff Katz. Foley's managers, Michael Braverman and Barry Bloom, will also executive produce. Christopher J. Scott will be directing. The film, written by Scott and Foley, will tell the unmasked story of Mick's obsessive desire to become one of the most popular wrestling icons of all time. Foley is a New York Times bestselling and critically acclaimed author, having written two autobiographies, a series of children's books with a new memoir on the way called COUNTDOWN TO LOCKDOWN, from Grand Central Publishing launching on October 1st.

Katz, who previously served as VP of Production at 20th Century Fox and New Line Cinema, founded the production company American Original. Katz' credits include films such as SNAKES ON A PLANE, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, SHOOT EM UP, FREDDY VS. JASON and comics BOOSTER GOLD, CROSSHAIR and FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH.
